Clearwater Physical Therapy

Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) of the Knee or Lateral Meniscus Tear

Injuries to the lateral side of the knee are fairly rare, however they are often presented in combination with other injuries such as a tear of multiple structures in the knee.  Physical therapy can reduce the pain associated with a sprain or tear of this ligament, aid patients in recovering normal range of motion, strength and function and return them to their normal lifestyles.

Lateral meniscus tears are often associated injuries with an LCL or ACL injury and can be improved through physical therapy that focuses on reduction of swelling, stretching and strengthening around the knee joint.
